WE SAY GOODBYE TO OUR ENGLISH ASSISTANT
THE COURSE IS ENDING AND WE MISS OUR ASSISTANT WHO LEFT LAST MAY
Last May we finished our school year with the assistant's work at Los Álamos. Nemone Richards has really contributed to help our students learn and improve their skills with the English language. At the same time she has provided great cultural presentations about her country and the subjects which are taught in English at our school.
She is very nice and sweet and we wish her the best in everything she will do in the future.

MUSIC: WOMEN AS COMPOSERS
SCHOOL PROJECT ABOUT WOMEN AS COMPOSERS IN HISTORY
You can find more than 6,000 women composers at the «International Enciclopaedia of Women Composers». Therefore, we could think women have been influential for a lot of successful musical pieces.
However, most women did not get the same roles as men in our societies, since they did not have the chance of having an education or a professional training which were traditionally male. Female roles were mainly to stay at home doing the housework and looking after children or the elderly members of their family.
That is the reason why the students and the music teacher have made a very interesting project about the women who have been really remarkable throughout history in the field of music.
Thanks to the English conversation assistant, Nemone Richards, and the RQ CODE, which is original made for this work, plenty of awesome information has been searched in relation to these women.
The school feels really thankful to the music teacher, Castillo Cid, for her effort and involvement with the students.

GYMKHANA : LIVING A FULL CONTACT WITH NATURE.
THE GYMKHANA IS BACK IN NATURE WITH THE ENGLISH PROGRAMME WHICH TRIES TO MAKE THE STUDENTS AWARE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.

THE LANGUAGE ASSISTANT AS WELL AS MANY TEACHERS TOOK PART IN THE ACTIVITY.

MANY STUDENTS FROM 1º AND 2º ESO GOT INVOLVED IN THE ACTIVITY
The organisation of this activity has been a reason of happiness and challenge for our students, who enjoyed it for another year. It is a different way of learning from the subjects which are taught in English as well as an opportunity to make the students aware of the thrill they can feel walking and sharing a morning with their friends in a natural environment. It is essential to offer them other possibilities of joy and entertainment.
La organización de esta actividad ha sido un motivo de felicidad y desafío para nuestros alumnos, que lo disfrutaron un año más. Es una forma diferente de aprender de las materias en inglés además de una oportunidad de concienciar a los alumnos de la emoción que se puede sentir paseando y compartiendo una mañana con sus compañeros en un entorno natural. Es muy importante ofrecer al alumnado otras posibilidades de diversión diferentes de las habituales durante sus fines de semana.

photo or draw a picture of both.
2. Give
their full names and the field where they can be well-known.
3. Write
their historical and artistic period of time.
4. Mention the two most famous works or books, which have been their contribution to the human culture.
5. Finally, tell something interesting about their personal lives.
RECYCLING ATTITUDES AT OUR SCHOOL: 2º ESO
This is a project led by the teacher of science at this level: Estefanía Guerrero.
We are going through a hard situation of drought in our area, so why don't we think about saving water and all kinds of materials such as paper? It is a fact that we will improve the natural world.
